Soccer fans who still need seats for the FIFA World Cup have one more chance to grab their tickets for this summer’s tournament.

The organization opened its fourth and final window for purchasing seats for the world's biggest sporting event. It also assured fans that even if there are no tickets available now, that may not always be the case.

How to get World Cup tickets

What you can do:

FIFA’s Last-Minute Sales Phase opened Wednesday, and fans could start selecting their spots at matches across the three host countries – the United States, Mexico, and Canada – at 11 a.m. Eastern Time.

Tickets are available at FIFA.com/tickets. With tickets being sold on a first-come, first-served basis, though, the wait times on the first day could stretch for hours.

What's next:

For fans who could not buy tickets in the first few days, all is not lost.

The window will stay open throughout the tournament. FIFA says people who are still looking for tickets should return to the website periodically because seats that are currently unavailable may open up at a later date. It added that tickets will be released on a rolling basis, including on game day.

Reselling World Cup tickets

Another alternative for fans will be FIFA’s official Resale/Exchange Marketplace. That is where people who have tickets but can no longer attend their match can resell them.

The marketplace opens on Thursday, April 2, and offers a secure place to purchase where eligible buyers do not have to worry about being scammed or buying bogus tickets.

FIFA cautioned buyers looking to attend a game in another country that just having a ticket does not guarantee that they will be allowed into the host country.

It advised prospective attendees to check the United StatesMexico, or Canada websites for entry requirements of the nation where the match is being played.
