7 workers hurt in partial collapse of church in Queen Creek

QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. -- Authorities say seven workers have been injured after a church that's under construction in Queen Creek partially collapsed. A truss gave way and the crew fell some 16 feet to the ground.

Rural Metro officials say two workers were seriously hurt in Monday afternoon's incident.

Trey Van Camp, the pastor of the church, posted a video message on Facebook, "We want to make sure we make this all about the workers helping them and praying for them.. we're going to be helping them way beyond today, no matter what happens, so say a prayer for those families."

The church is being built in the area of Hunt Highway and Sossaman.
