Attempted murder charge filed against shooting suspect in Delaware

NEWARK, De. (WTXF) - The man wanted for shooting six people in two states before a near 12-hour manhunt was officially charged in Delaware Thursday, just hours after the manhunt came to an end.

37-year-old Radee Prince has been arraigned on several charges in the Delaware shooting that took place Wednesday afternoon. Prince has now been charged with attempted murder and three weapons charges.

Bail was set at a total of approximately $2.1 million bail.

Prince has yet to be arraigned on charges related to the deadly shooting in Maryland.

Police say Prince is responsible for shooting five people in a Maryland office building where he worked, killing three of them, before he headed to Delaware where he shot another victim.

Investigators now say Prince knew all six of the shooting victims.

Prince was captured in Newark, Delaware Wednesday night after a lengthy multi-state manhunt.

Officials say Prince went to work at a countertop company northeast of Baltimore on Wednesday morning, and opened fire on five of his co-workers, killing three of them, and critically wounding two others.

After the shooting, police say Prince got back into his dark GMC Acadia and drove north, where he carried out the second shooting at a car dealership in Wilmington, roughly 55 miles away from the first shooting.

Officers responding to the shooting in Wilmington then spotted Prince in his vehicle and gave chase, but lost track of him a short time later.

Prince was not seen by police again until about 7 p.m. when officers took him into custody after a brief foot chase a short time after they found his abandoned vehicle. During the foot chase police say Prince tried to discard a handgun.

Officials revealed during the manhunt that Prince had 15 prior felony convictions, with more than 40 total arrests in Delaware alone.
