Bicyclist killed after being struck by vehicle in Phoenix
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police say a bicyclist has died after he was struck by a vehicle in northwest Phoenix.
Phoenix police say the bicyclist was struck by a vehicle near 46th Avenue and Thomas Road just before 7 a.m.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene following the collision and impairment does not appear to be a factor.
Thomas Road will be closed between 46th and 48th Avenues due to the investigation.
