Charlotte woman stumbles upon gun while gardening

CHARLOTTE, NC (WJZY) - Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating after a woman found a gun in her yard while gardening.

The incident happened at the 2100 block of Pinckney Avenue.

The woman told officers she was digging in her yard when she found a revolver that had been buried in the ground.

Officers say the owner of the gun is unknown at this time.

This is an active, ongoing case.
