Child dies, 3 others hurt in San Tan Valley crash

SAN TAN VALLEY - A 2-year-old child was killed and three other injured in a crash in the San Tan Valley on Friday night.

Pinal County Sheriff's deputies say the deadly crash happened at Arizona Farms Road and Hunt Highway on Friday at 9pm. A Dodge pickup truck crashed into the back of a small sedan carrying a mother and three children. One of the children was pronounced dead at the scene. The mother and two other children were seriously hurt and had to be flown to a nearby trauma center.

The road was closed until early Saturday morning. There's no word on whether anyone may face charges in the crash.
