Couple arrested after wrong-way chase on valley freeway

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Authorities arrested a couple after a wrong-way chase on a valley freeway overnight.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says they attempted to stop a stolen car that was driving the wrong way on the freeway. After a brief chase, the suspects ran from their vehicle near State Route 51 and Northern.

They were taken into custody shortly after.
