Crash causes 3 mile traffic backup on Interstate 17

PHOENIX - A crash involving a city bus and a commercial vehicle caused a three mile traffic backup Tuesday morning on Interstate 17 at Dunlap.

It's unclear why the bus driver lost control and hit the semi-truck.

The bus did have passengers when the crash happened around 7:15 a.m.

The female bus driver had minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital as a precaution.

By 9:00 a.m., the crash on southbound I-17 was cleared, but traffic backups continued to Cactus.
