Cynthia Mueller trial highlights victim's financial plan

PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - Two witnesses in the trial of 50-year-old Cynthia Mueller, who is accused of murdering her husband, David Mueller, have alleged the woman had been unwilling to cooperate with her husband's financial requests.

The Daily Courier reports the witnesses testified Thursday that Cynthia did not sign off on David's plan to put up $300,000 in a trust fund for his two children.

The lawyer who set up David's trust fund for his children testified that the trust was to be partly funded by David's $500,000 life insurance disbursement, but it required the spouse's signature.

David's financial adviser, Brant Smith, said he never received Cynthia's signature for the agreement.

Both Cynthia and Charles Todd, the man she had been having an affair with have been charged in David's death.
