1 dead in crash on Loop 202 in Mesa
MESA, Ariz. - The westbound lanes of the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway in Mesa were closed for hours on Monday due to a deadly crash.
The freeway was shut down at the Loop 101, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.
What we know:
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says one person was killed in the crash, which happened at about 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 20.
All traffic was diverted to the northbound and southbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway, during the closure.
