The Arizona Department of Public Safety says two separate deadly accidents have shut down freeways in the valley on Saturday morning.

On the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway near McDowell Road, one person was killed in a deadly rollover crash overnight. The crash involved several vehicles. The eastbound 202 was shut down while DPS investigated, and traffic was re-routed onto Gilbert Road.

DPS also investigated a deadly crash on the southbound 101 ramp at Union Hills. The crash, which happened just after 1:30am on Saturday, killed one person and shut down the off-ramp. Two others were taken to the hospital with injuries, but their conditions are not known.
