DPS: helicopter crashed in the Superstition Mountains

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. (KSAZ) - The Arizona Department of Public Safety says they are over the scene of a helicopter crash in Pinal County.

Officials say the medical helicopter crashed near Rogers Trough in the Superstition Mountains.

Sources say the helicopter is owned by Air Methods Corp, a medical transport company.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office's Search and Rescue unit is responding to the scene which is described as remote.
