Fire destroys north Phoenix mobile home

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Firefighters say no one was injured when a fire destroyed a mobile home in north Phoenix early Thursday morning.

According to Capt. Rob McDade with the Phoenix Fire Department, the mobile home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at the scene near Cave Creek Road and Peoria just after 3:30 a.m.

Crews fought the fire defensively and were able to stop it from spreading to other homes.

Firefighters say the woman who lives inside the mobile home was able to get out safely, but about three hours after the fire broke out, police arrived at the scene and took the woman into custody.

Police have not released any information on her arrest.

Phoenix firefighters say the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
