Five teenagers involved in early-morning crash on I-17

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Five teens were involved in a single-vehicle accident on I-17 early Wednesday morning.

DPS tells us that the driver collided with a side rail on I-17 near Thomas just after 3 a.m. Authorities believe alcohol may be a factor in the crash after finding liquor bottles in the car.

Traffic lanes in the area remain open to drivers.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
