Intense fire destroys mobile home

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A fire destroyed a mobile home near 48th Street and McDowell on Monday night.

The Phoenix Fire Department says the fire was so intense that firefighters had to go on the defensive, as they couldn't get inside due to the flames.

The home was a total loss after the fire and a nearby shed was also destroyed. No one was home at the time of the fire.

Firefighters also say the fire was inside a small community, which made it difficult for them to get to the trailer fire.
