Man arrested in 33-year-old cold case

MESA, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Mesa police have arrested Home Parmar in connection with a cold case dating back to 1982.

Parmer is accused of strangling Tina Brewer to death in 1982.

Detectives traced Parmer to Oklahoma, were he is awaiting extradition back to Arizona.

Mesa's police chief says DNA test results were crucial to making the arrest.
