Man charged with murder in deadly double-shooting

Police have arrested a man in connection to a deadly double-shooting in Phoenix.

Phoenix police say 21-year-old Isaiah McClure has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection to a double-shooting that happened on June 16th near 55th Avenue and Clarendon.

Investigators say officers responded to a home in the area after receiving reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a 22-year-old man and his 21-year-old wife with gunshot wounds.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his wife was taken to a hospital and is now in stable condition.

Police say the woman was visiting the home and got into an altercation with McClure. The woman called her husband to pick her up and he arrived at the home with two small children in his vehicle.

McClure then shot both victims and went back into the home.

After a standoff with police, McClure surrendered and was taken into custody.

The two children in the victim's vehicle were not injured.

McClure has been booked into jail and the identities of the victims have not been released.
