Man in critical condition following crash in north Phoenix

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A man is in critical condition following a crash with a semi truck in north Phoenix.

The Phoenix Police Department says the 21-year-old has been transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after slamming into a semi truck at the intersection of Central and Glendale just after 1 a.m. Investigators believe the man ran a red light before hitting the semi and that fatigue may have been a factor in the crash.

Police do not believe intoxication nor speed were factors in the crash.

The intersection of Central and Glendale is closed due to the investigation. Please avoid the area.
