Man sought in Indiana shootings arrested in Arizona

PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities in Arizona have arrested a man wanted in Indiana in two shootings reportedly related to the earlier killing of his brother.

The U.S. Marshals Service says a violent offender task force on Tuesday arrested Anthony Flores on attempted murder and other charges stemming from January shootings in East Chicago, Indiana, and Hessville, Indiana.

The Marshals Service said prosecution in the killing of Flores' brother was dropped. Other details on the Indiana cases were not announced.

According to the Marshals Service, Flores was arrested after authorities learned he was staying with a family member at an apartment complex in Peoria, a Phoenix suburb.

The Marshals Service said Flores promptly asked to be returned to Indiana.
