Mesa to host new music festival

Mesa is soon to be home to a brand new music festival, aiming to help local bands and artists get the opportunity to make it big.

And for this highly-anticipated event, they got Columbia Records Executive and MTV Host Matt Pinfield to be the keynote speaker.

"I've been blessed to meet almost every one of my heroes, and have their respect that is the most important thing," said Matt Pinfield.

Pinfield is playing a big part in putting on The Mesa Music Festival.

"We wanna give these artists a chance, more of a chance to be discovered," said Pinfield.

In its first year, the festival will feature more than 200 artists, some from the valley, others from around the world. There will be two days of live music; November 13-15, and it's all free to the public. The artists will play in over a dozen venues in downtown Mesa.
