North Carolina man guilty of killing Arizona lover's husband

PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - A North Carolina man has been convicted of killing his Arizona lover's husband and dumping his body at a New Mexico airport.

A Yavapai County Superior Court jury in Prescott on Thursday convicted 50-year-old Marzet Farris III of first-degree murder, conspiracy, tampering with evidence and concealing a dead body.

The Daily Courier reports that Farris' sentencing was set for March 16.

Laura Jeanne Stelmasek will be tried separately in the stabbing death of Craig Stelmasek at the couple's home in Prescott. His body was left in a van in a parking garage at Albuquerque International Sunport in June 2011.

Farris and his 48-year-old lover were arrested later at his home near Raleigh, North Carolina.
