Northern Arizona residents brace for big winter storm

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- It was calm in parts of Northern Arizona on Wednesday, as residents brace for a big snowstorm that could bring a lot of snow to that part of the state.

In Flagstaff, ADOT crews worked all day to prepare for the storm, with snowplow crews putting a salt solution on some of the highways and kea areas. Meanwhile, residents in Show Low stocked up on wood for heat, and crews in Navajo County have prepared 16 massive trucks, equipped with plows and cinder spreaders.

FOX 10's Stephanie Olmo and Justin Lum report in Flagstaff and Show Low, respectively.
