Pasco man hit woman after she tried to take back a plate of cinnamon rolls, deputies say

An argument over a plate of cinnamon rolls led to a sexual offender's arrest in Pasco County, officials said.

On Tuesday, Pasco County deputies arrested 53-year-old David Ross for battering a woman. According to investigators, the victim said she was serving Ross cinnamon rolls, but he wanted the entire plate. He hit her when she tried to take them back, his arrest affidavit says.

The incident took place at 7632 Maryland Avenue in Hudson, and was seen by a witness, deputies said. Ross was arrested on a battery charge.

The arrest violated his probation out of Brevard County for kidnapping and sexual battery convictions, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. He was scheduled to be on probation until August 5, 2025.
