LAVEEN, Ariz. - Phoenix Police are investigating a shooting in Laveen where one person was taken to the hospital.

Officers responded to the scene on River Walk Drive in the area of 51st and Southern Avenues.

Police found a woman with an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators are working to determine what happened and gather any suspect information.

The investigation is ongoing.
