Phoenix man accused of depriving dogs of water

A Phoenix man is facing animal cruelty charges, accused of depriving his four Chihuahuas of water and food.

Phoenix Police found the dogs in bad shape early Tuesday morning.

EAMT's with the Arizona Humane Society helped seize the four dogs near 19th Avenue and Indian School.

Officials say one of the dogs was found in a broken-down chicken coop outside and one had to be put down.

Officers interviewed and arrested 42-year-old Adrian Montano and charged him with animal cruelty/neglect.

The surviving dogs are being treated by the Arizona Humane Society.
