Phoenix police: Parents, 6 kids found living out of a stolen vehicle

PHOENIX (AP) - Two adults are accused of child abuse after police found them living with their six children out of a stolen vehicle in a north Phoenix parking lot.

Phoenix police say 27-year-old Priscilla Barrera and 24-year-old Joshua Watson both are facing six counts of child abuse.

According to a police report, the couple was accompanied by six small children between the ages of one and seven.

The children all were sleeping in and around the truck that was in a restaurant's parking lot Sunday morning.

Police say the truck conditions were deplorable and most of the children had little clothing on with no shoes and no clean diapers.

All six were later taken by the Arizona Department of Child Services.

Police say Watson also had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest.
