Police and FBI looking for "Bandaged Bandit" bank robbery suspect

TEMPE, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- Police in Tempe are asking for help as they try to identify a bank robbery suspect dubbed the "Bandaged Bandit."

Police say the suspect walked into a US bank inside a Safeway store at Elliot Road and McClintock Drive just after 10:00 a.m. on June 28, and pointed a black handgun at the teller while demanding cash. In another incident, the suspect entered a US Bank at Baseline and Higley Roads in Gilbert at around 10:30 a.m. on July 31, where he pointed a handgun t the teller, again demanding cash.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man, between 5'5" to 5'7" tall, with a stocky build. The suspect wears glasses, baseball cap, and plaid over shirts. In both incidents, the suspect appears to be wearing some type of bandage. During the Tempe incident, the suspect wore some type of bandage between his nose, and during the Gilbert incident, the bandage was seen on his left hand.

The suspect was also seen fleeing the area by unknown means, according to police.
