Police identify victims in deadly Grand Ave. crash

Glendale Police have identified the two drivers killed in a car accident on Grand Avenue on Saturday afternoon.

Police say 36-year-old Steven Mendez, of Scottsdale, veered off the road on Grand Avenue and crashed into two light poles, then crossed the median and crashed into two other cars.

The driver of one of the other vehicles, 41-year-old Isaac Rosario, of Tucson, was also killed in the crash.

A woman behind the wheel of the third vehicle suffered minor injuries. A young girl was also transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

An adult female driver in a third vehicle suffered minor injures but was not transported from the scene.

Investigators are looking into whether speed or impairment may have had any role in the collision.
