Police investigate third prowler incident in Scottsdale

Two Scottsdale women reported a prowler who was watching them sleep early on Saturday, and Scottsdale Police say the description given by the victims matches two previous cases.

Officers responded to an apartment complex at 2700 N. Hayden after a reporter about the break-in, which reportedly happened at about 3:40am. An hour later, Scottsdale Police arrested a man nearby on an unrelated warrant. It's not yet clear if the man arrested was the person who broke into the apartment complex.

Police say the suspect description given by the two women matches the description of the suspect from two other prowler cases in Scottsdale. The suspect in these cases was described as a white man in his late 20s to early 30s, six feet tall and an average build. He's reportedly very tan and has short, dark brown hair.

In those two other cases, officers say a man entered two other apartments of single women near Hayden and Indian School Roads between the dates of August 10th to the 20th, and then fled from the scene when he was approached.
