Police: Man hit, killed by train in Gilbert
GILBERT, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police say a man is dead after he was hit by a train in Gilbert.
According to Sgt. Darrell Krueger with Gilbert police, a 56-year-old man was lying across the train tracks in the area of McQueen Road and the railroad crossing, just south of Baseline Road on Wednesday night at 10:30 p.m.
The man was killed when he was hit by the train and police say they are investigating the incident as a possible suicide.
No structures or vehicles were involved in the collision.
McQueen Road between Baseline and Guadalupe has reopened.
