Police: Man tried to kill someone by rattlesnake bite

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Police say they have arrested an Oracle man who tried to use a rattlesnake to kill someone.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office says 38-year-old Nathaniel Harrison man was arrested July 23rd when officers went to investigate gunfire at a home north of Tucson.

Police say the homeowner told them that the other man broke in and accused him of ratting on his friend.

Officers say he hit the resident with a board, had him kneel and fired a gunshot at a nearby object.

Then he tried to get a rattlesnake he brought with him to bite the man.

The snake did not comply.

Harrison was booked in Pinal County jail on suspicion of several charges, including aggravated assault.

Deputies found the snake in the house and released it back into the wild.
