Scout troop project reminds hikers of dangers on Valley trails

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - The scout troop of a 12-year-old boy who died hiking a Valley mountain in the heat is working on a service project to honor his memory.

Cody Flom was hiking with his mother's friend in North Phoenix. Without adequate water in the triple-digit heat, it proved too much for the young boy. Now, a project is underway to remind hikers about the dangers on Valley trails.
