Sheriff's department locates missing Sun City man
SUN CITY, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Sheriff's deputies have found a man who went missing from his Sun City home on Tuesday.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says 77-year-old Roman Stolaruk left his home at 14615 N. Agua Fria Drive at 3 p.m. Mr. Stolaruk was last seen driving his 2001 white Ford Taurus station wagon with an Arizona license plate 811-NYV.
Mr. Stolaruk left his home to go Christmas shopping and he is a diabetic with insulin dependencies and has prior heart issues. His wife told deputies that he will not stop and ask anyone for directions if he gets lost.
In a prior incident, Mr. Stolaruk left his home, became lost and did not return home for three hours.
A credit card history shows recent purchases from Arrowhead mall and a store in Surprise.
The sheriff's department says Mr. Stolaruk returned home safely on Wednesday.
