Suspect in custody after barricade situation at Days Inn

TEMPE - Tempe Police have resolved a tense situation involving a suspect who barricaded himself in a Days Inn motel near I-10 and Priest.

Police say the incident unfolded after 11am on Saturday. A man was barricaded in a room on the third floor of the motel. The SWAT team was sent in and worked to make contact with him after the suspect refused to come out.

Just after 1:30pm, police got the suspect in custody peacefully. The suspect has been identified as Kevin Rocheteau, and police say he is wanted on several felony warrants.
