Tempe honors 9/11 victims with honorable run & 'Healing Field'
TEMPE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Monday will mark 16 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Many places around the valley are honoring the victims and first responders of that day.
The "Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers 5K" took place Saturday morning.
The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation not only honors the lives lost on that fateful day, but it also continues to help the heroes of that day.
The program gifts customized smart homes to catastrophically injured service men and women, something that's vital to their quality of life.
Also, Tempe Healing Field is open at Tempe Beach Park.
