Truck driver critically hurt after two crashes
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - One person suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash that shut down a Phoenix intersection.
Phoenix Police say at about midnight a silver 2014 Chevy truck was heading north on 19th Avenue and rear-ended another vehicle near Desert Cove. The Chevy truck took off from the scene, continued north on 19th Avenue, and then rear-ended a second vehicle, police say. That vehicle collided with a telephone pole, and the driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The Chevy truck, meantime, rolled over after the second crash, reportedly a couple of times; the truck driver was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police are looking into whether speed or impairment may have been factors in the crash.
