Volunteering made easy with Phoenix volunteer fair

PHOENIX (FOX 10) - Finding the perfect organization to volunteer for can be difficult because you might not know where to begin, but the volunteer fair held in downtown Phoenix made it a little easier for anyone looking to give back.

More than 100 booths with endless ways to find your passion were at the Van Buren.

You might want to help kids get a good night's sleep with Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

"We build and deliver bunk beds for children in need, basically children who are sleeping on the floor or on the couch with mom and dad," said Joe Genovese with Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

You could help clean up your surroundings, not only in your neighborhood but on the beautiful hiking trails.

"Keep Nature Wild is an outdoor apparel company and we pick up one pound of trash for every product we sell," said Melissa Wright with Keep Nature Wild.

You could even help the homeless find their confidence with a piece of plastic.

"I'm helping people who are experiencing homeless regain or establish identification in the state of Arizona," said Eric Ortega with Homeless I.D. Project.
