Ten heat relief stations will remain open through Tuesday to offer residents a place to cool down, get water, snacks, sunscreen, hats and bandanas. Health officials emphasize that extreme heat is the leading cause of death among all natural disasters.

Reward increased to find Emily Pike's murderer
The reward for information leading to the arrest of Emily Pike's killer has increased to $200,000. Silent Witness added $25,000 to the $75,000 offered by the FBI and the San Carlos Apache Tribe. Anyone with information can call 480-WITNESS.

An 18-year-old is behind bars, accused of fatally shooting his father, 48-year-old Victor Morales Lubvio, and wounding a female family member. The double shooting happened on Tuesday, June 24, near 7th Street and Dobbins Road.
