Tyre Nichols: U.S. Justice Department to investigate Memphis Police

The United States Justice Department will investigate the use of force and de-escalation tactics used by the Memphis Police Department, in the aftermath of Tyre Nichols' death. Nichols died thee days after he was beaten by a specialized Memphis Police unit during a traffic stop, and five police officers involved in the incident are facing murder charges. The review was requested by Memphis' mayor and police chief.
