Fry's parent company CEO defends Albertsons merger
The CEO of Kroger, the parent company of Fry's in Arizona, defended the company's proposed merger with Albertsons during a federal court hearing. During the hearing, Rodney McMullen insisted the merger would allow the two companies to lower prices and better compete with other retail giants, like Walmart and Amazon. If approved, the Kroger/Albertson merger will be the largest merger of its kind in U.S. history.
