Midlife: The new battleground for addiction?
According to the National Library of Medicine, more older adults in the 50s and 60s are turning to drugs, alcohol and potentially dangerous behavior to cope with mental health issues, and a facility in the Phoenix area is seeing that first hand. We sat down with Meadows Behavioral Healthcare Executive Director Dr. Jerry Law and licensed professional counselor Jamie Vinck about the trend.
