Morning light shows over 680,000 power outages across North Carolina

More than 680,000 customers statewide were without power after Florence made its assault on North Carolina, according to NC Emergency Management.

As of 7:15 a.m. Sunday, the power outage total was 681,622 with the highest concentration in New Hanover, Brunswick, Carteret, Cumberland and Onslow counties.
