Pregnant woman among 3 found dead at south Phoenix home

Police have identified the victims following a murder-suicide that left three people and an unborn child dead in a south Phoenix neighborhood.

The investigation began near 16th Street and South Mountain Avenue just before 11 a.m. when someone requested a welfare check on the home.

Two victims were found outside the home and the other was inside, Sgt. Brian Bower said. No suspects are being looked for, Bower says.

The victims have been identified as 37-year-old Sarah Scott, 27-year-old Jacob De Zeeuw, and 6-year-old Jacob De Zeeuw. Additionally, police say Scott was pregnant at the time of the shooting and her unborn child also died.

"Detectives learned through the investigation that De Zeeuw had shot both victims before shooting himself," Sgt. Brian Bower said.

No other details were released.
