Armed robbery suspects caught following crash in the East Valley

MESA, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- Officials with Mesa Police say a car that matches the description of a vehicle used in an armed robbery in Mesa has crashed, after trying to evade officers in Tempe.

According to Mesa Police officials, Mesa Police officers were called out to a report of an armed robbery near the 1800 block of N. Stapley. Witnesses were able to provide a good description of a suspect vehicle, was officers found near US-60. Officers attempted a traffic stop near Roosevelt and Baseline in Tempe, and the car crash while people inside were trying to flee from officers. All suspects have been detained, and no other people were involved in the crash.
