Armed suspect robbing valley credit unions
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police are offering a reward to find a man accused of robbing several credit unions in the valley.
Silent Witness spokesperson Sgt. James Rothschild says the suspect has committed multiple armed robberies in the Phoenix area between October 9th and December 9th of 2015. Two of the armed robberies happened at the same financial institution, Credit Union West credit union near 3rd Street in Phoenix.
Police say in the most recent incident, a customer at the credit union tried to stop the suspect during the robbery, but was unsuccessful.
The suspect is described as a black man, 25 to 30-years-old, 6'0" and 160 pounds with brown eyes. The suspect often wears a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, gloves and a bandana covering his face.
Police have offered a reward of up to $6,000 for information leading to the suspect's arrest.
