The Harley-Davidson Motor Company has recalled 16,994 motorcycles because of a problem that may result in the loss of the rear brakes that can increase the risk of a crash.

In a recall notice, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stated that the rear brake line may contact the Body Control Module (BCM), resulting in a hole in the brake line, a brake fluid leak, and loss of the rear brakes.
