Man rescued after getting stuck in Scottsdale wash

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) -- A Scottsdale man had to be rescued from a wash, after he got stuck on Tuesday.

The rescue took place in the area of McDowell and Miller Roads.

"Thought I was going to get swept away," said Aaron Haskie.

On Tuesday afternoon, Haskie took his chances by trying to cross the flooded Eldorado Park. Unfortunately, he was no march for the rushing water.

"Came up so fast," said Haskie.

Rescue teams stepped in to help, but Haskie said it was terrifying.

"The water was getting deeper. It was getting deeper," said Haskie.

Eventually, however, Haskie and the rescue team managed to make it out of the flooded wash safely, and Haskie said he is thankful for the rescuers. He also said he won't be making the same mistake.
