Missing Frisco mom found dead, children taken to hospital

A missing Frisco mom was found dead in a store parking lot Thursday afternoon.

Police said Christine Woo and kids were found in the family's SUV in the parking lot of a McKinney Target. The three children were alive, but severely dehydrated. The 1, 3 and 5 year olds were rushed to Children's Medical Center in Dallas where they remained as of Friday afternoon.

A Frisco police detective was the one who spotted the SUV parked near the back of the store. A shade had been placed on the windshield. The store is located two miles from the family's home.

Police have not said if there was any obvious sign of trauma or foul play. They said there are still a lot of questions that need answering.

"There is an active investigation and her cause of death is undetermined. The Collin County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause of death. We are conducting an investigation with the assistance of the McKinney Police Department to determine exactly what did happen," said Sgt. Jeff Inmom with the Frisco Police Department.

Brandon Woo said he last saw his wife and children Monday morning before he left for work. He reported them missing on Tuesday after checking with family members.

"We would like to express that we are saddened by the incident overall and we know that the family is saddened as well. Hopefully this will bring some closure to them, though," Inmon said.

Police said Friday it could be weeks before the medical examiner determines how and when Woo died.
