Pedestrian hit, killed after police pursuit leads to crash
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A pedestrian has died after a police pursuit ended in a multi-vehicle crash in Phoenix.
The Phoenix Police Department says the series of events began on Thursday when the suspects snatched a woman's purse at Pierce Park near 46th Street and Oak. The suspects then sped away westbound along McDowell Road.
An officer began to pursue the suspects after spotting them running a red light. The suspects did not pull over and hit a Chevrolet Tahoe, a pedestrian and a city bus.
The pedestrian, identified as a 44-year-old woman, was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died.
Police have three suspects in custody, and they have been identified as an 18-year-old male, a 14-year-old female, and a 12-year-old female. Two suspects, however, remain on the loose.

The intersection was closed due to the crash.
