Phoenix Police looking for suspect in Tuesday morning murder

Phoenix Police officials say they are looking for a man, in connection with a murder that happened earlier on Tuesday.

According to a statement released Tuesday afternoon, officers responded to a call of shots fired at around 11:25 a.m., on the 2200 block of W. Indian School Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a victim unresponsive on the floor of an apartment. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by fire officials. Witnesses say the suspect was seen getting into a car, described as a dark-colored, newer model four-door sedan with tinted windows, and fled the scene.

The suspect is described by Phoenix Police as an African American male in his early 30's, approximate 5'9" tall and weighing 160lbs, with a medium-dark complexion and wearing light colored shirt and light colored shorts.
